On February 26, 1993 Manchester police were called to the rear of the Lafayette Club on Canal Street for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, police found the victim, Diethelm Baumann, age 30, suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. Baumann died immediately from the wound. An extensive investigation spanning several months was conducted into this incident. Police have identified the assailant from a description provided by a female companion of the victim as being a white male, with a moustache and dark hair, last seen driving a pick up truck.




Joyce McClain

Sixteen year old Joyce Mclain was last seen alive the evening of August 8th, 1980. The high school sophomore from East Millinocket,ME was jogging that night when she disappeared. Two days later her body was found near the soccer fields of Schenk High School, where she was a student. She had died from being bludgeoned to death with injuries to her head and neck. Several people were questioned in her death but no arrests have ever been made. The case has even garnered national attention as it was profiled on the one time NBC show, Unsolved Mysteries and in People Magazine.
Her remains eventually were disinterred 28 years later and a second autopsy was done by nationally known pathologists Henry Lee and Michael Baden. It is believed that some new evidence may have been found.

Details:Luella Blakeslee was last seen alive on July 4, 1969. She was a twenty-nine-year-old school teacher who lived in Hooksett, NH at the time of her disappearance. Her skeletal remains were found on May 9, 1998 in Hopkinton, NH. The medical examiner ruled her death as "homicidal violence of an undetermined type." When Luella's remains were identified, the Attorney General's Office issued a press release noting that at the time of her disappearance, suspicion focused on one of her acquaintances, Robert G. Breest, who was subsequently convicted of first-degree murder for the death of Susan Randall. The Attorney General's Office noted that Breest remains a suspect in Luella's death. Breest is currently incarcerated in Massachusetts for Randall's murder.
